PTNY attends the International Trails Summit
Last month, Dylan and Erica spent a few days in Madison, Wisconsin for the International Trails Summit! The dynamic duo presented to a crowded room on how PTNY’s Trail Town programs are helping build capacity and fostering vibrant, resilient communities across New York State.
Their presentation highlighted case studies from Trail Towns across NYS, including a feature on how the Rome Waterway and Trails Advocacy Group has emerged from the Empire State Trail Town program and has allowed the city to build a trail culture and advance enhancement projects that would have never been possible before.
The Summit was an inspiring coalescence of trail-minded folks in a city and state that has done an amazing job integrating greenway trails into every aspect of daily life. Thank you to American Trails Professional Trail Builders Association for hosting an awesome event that brought together trail planners and practitioners from all over the country and world. It was great to connect with our partners at Cycle Forward, Just Trails, Rails to Trails Conservancy and Trust for Public Land, East Coast Greenway and meet so many new folks out there as well.
