Be our Intern!

The Arthur V. Savage Internship Program offers an opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates to work in Albany to help shape policies, organize grassroots constituents and provide stewardship for parks, trails, and other outdoor recreational facilities. Get hands on experience with advocacy, communications, and educating decision makers about important environmental and conservation issues, as well as planning events such as I Love My Park Day. Arthur V. Savage (1926-2012) was a distinguished lawyer-conservationist, with a particular devotion to the preservation of open spaces and public parks in New York State. During the last half of the 20th century, Art co-founded or led a large number of nonprofit organizations that helped shape environmental laws, protect natural resources, and educate the public about conservation values. Parks & Trails New York established the Arthur V. Savage Internship Program to honor the life and legacy of one of New York State’s most influential environmentalists.
