A travelogue by a cyclist whose first bike tour was the 2012 Cycle the Erie Canal Tour. Since then he has been documenting his rides from across the country through all seasons. This post details his experience cycling 400 miles through New York State as one of 650 riders on the 2016 Cycle the Erie Canal Tour.

In the summer of 2014, two Excelsior College staff members, Joan Mikalson and Anne Connor, made the bike trek from Buffalo to Albany, NY alongside their significant others.

Joining 600 fellow bicycle riders, Justin and Annette chronicled the trip, their fellow riders, people they met and animal life they observed along the way – not to mention the physical toll the journey took on them personally. Relive their journey through their 8-day blog.

This rider's blog includes his review of the annual eight day bicycle tour of the Erie Canal which he has cycled multiple times with PTNY. This travelogue covers his first ride in 2012 which was self-supported. In his view PTNY's ride is a "less demanding" way to complete the journey.

Sports writer, Amy Moritz joined the 2014 Cycling the Erie Canal Annual Bike Tour in lieu of a seventh appearance at the Musselman triathlon. She described it as " an amazing experience and one of the most memorable adventures I’ve been on."
